The Yorkshire Dragons are thrilled to announce the signing of Corey Johnson, a dynamic and experienced shooting guard who brings international pedigree, elite shooting, and leadership to the squad for the upcoming season.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Corey’s basketball journey has taken him across the globe. A graduate of Harvard University, where he made an immediate impact by setting a freshman record for three-pointers, Corey has since built a professional career that spans Spain, Canada, and the UK.

His résumé includes stints with:

Zornotza ST (Spain)
Leicester Riders, Newcastle Eagles, and Derby Trailblazers (UK)
Guelph Nighthawks and Ottawa BlackJacks (Canada)

Most recently, Corey suited up for the Newcastle Knights, where he averaged 14.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, showcasing his ability to contribute across the board.

Corey is known for his deadly three-point shooting, high basketball IQ, and relentless work ethic. His ability to stretch the floor, create scoring opportunities, and defend with intensity makes him a perfect fit for the Dragons’ fast-paced, high-energy style of play.
