British Championship Basketball team
The Yorkshire Dragons proudly compete in the newly established British Championship Basketball (BCB) league — the official second tier of British basketball.
Founded in 2001, the Dragons have earned a strong reputation for elite player development, high-level competition, and deep community roots. Over the years, the Men’s team has climbed the ranks of British basketball, collecting silverware and establishing itself as a consistent force at the national level.

The Yorkshire Dragons NBL Division 3 team represents the next step in our player development pathway — bridging the gap between our academy and junior programmes and the elite level of British basketball.
This team provides a competitive platform for emerging talent to gain valuable senior experience, while also offering a continued playing opportunity for some of our most experienced athletes — players who have contributed at the highest levels and now bring leadership, skill, and mentorship to the next generation.
Competing in National Basketball League Division 3, this squad blends youth and experience, ambition and wisdom. It’s a team built to develop, compete, and inspire — both on and off the court.

Dragons 3 is our senior men’s community team, proudly competing in the Leeds League Basketball — one of Yorkshire’s largest and most vibrant recreational basketball leagues.
This team is all about passion for the game. Whether you're a long-time player looking to stay involved, or someone returning to the court after a break, Dragons 3 offers a fun, competitive, and welcoming environment. While the pace might be a little slower and the knees a little creakier, the love for basketball is as strong as ever.
With a mix of seasoned veterans and enthusiastic newcomers, Dragons 3 is a key part of our club’s culture — proving that basketball is for life, not just for the elite.
