Yorkshire Dragons Wheelchair Basketball Team
The Yorkshire Dragons Wheelchair Basketball Team is proud to be the newest addition to the Dragons family, joining the club ahead of the 2025/26 season. Formerly known as Calderdale Wheelchair Basketball Club, this well-established team brings a rich history of inclusive sport, competitive spirit, and community engagement.
Competing in the British Wheelchair Basketball National League, the team plays in one of the UK’s most dynamic and fast-paced sporting environments. Governed by British Wheelchair Basketball, the league
features multiple divisions and is open to both disabled and non-disabled athletes, making it one of the most inclusive competitions in the country.
The team has long been a hub for players of all ages and abilities across West Yorkshire, offering opportunities to compete, develop skills, and be part of a supportive and passionate basketball community. Now, as
Yorkshire Dragons, the team continues that mission with renewed energy and a broader platform — proudly representing the region in one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports.
Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, the Yorkshire Dragons Wheelchair Basketball Team is here to welcome you to the court.
Together, we rise. Together, we roar.
